For over forty years Joel Bagnal has been creating uniquely designed “objects of personal adornment” as alternatives to retail jewelry. Joel opened his latest shop in St. Augustine in 2010, on Aviles Street, the oldest European street in America.

From the Leather Shop to the Aviles Street Gallery

After over four years of being part of The Leather Shop at 11B Aviles Street in St. Augustine, Joel Bagnal Goldsmith has moved next door to 11C Aviles Street, sharing space with the Aviles Street Gallery. Joel joins with local fine art painters and photographers in this striking new cooperative space. In the heart of Old Town, Aviles Street is the oldest continuously used street in North America and the site of a truly unique collection of galleries, shops, and cafes.

About Joel Bagnal

Joel Bagnal graduated from Stetson University with a major in art, where he first began his goldsmithing career in elective classes under Robert Ebendorf, a young metalsmithing instructor who had recently returned from a Fullbright Fellowship in Norway. Stetson was followed by a Masters of Education from Boston University and a Masters of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing from University of Georgia.
